Summary of the Event:

IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus- Bulandshahar Chapter had organised an Alumni Talk Series on the topic ?Career Opportunities in Today?s Time?. The idea behind organizing this small event was to provide proper career guidance to students so as to help them in implementing and guiding towards a future course of action, to assist them in making informed educational and occupational choices. Usually after completion of school education, students are burdened with decision to plan the career, in terms of what course to do and what would be the proper institution to pursue the same etc. Often they carry these thoughts around in their heads for long period which ultimately leads to wastage of time.

So, Bulandshahr chapter of Institute of Management Studies University Courses Campus, Ghaziabad planned to help students:

• To Generate Self Awareness.
• To help develop skills and manage their career.
• To focus on developing knowledge and skills keeping in mind the current position and future Job opportunities.

The resource person for the day was Mr. Gaurav Mishra Alumni BCA (2009-12). He is an assistant teacher in Basic Education department U.P Govt. Bulandshahr. He explained the students about the various career options available after XII like BBA, BCA, BJMC and also talked about preparing for various Govt. Exams etc. He proficiently explained that students should be focussed for choosing careers and selection of college matters a lot in enhancing the skills. Total Students who participated in the session were around round 35 in number. They were from different schools like KV Bulandshahar, KV Noida, KDB Public School Ghaziabad etc. Students had various doubts like which course is best, which course should science students opt for, what would be the placement opportunity in IMS, etc. All the queries were handled by the speaker in the professional manner. The session was good and ended with a vote of thanks by the organisers- CA Anu Tyagi (BBA Dept.)  and Prof. Neeru Saxena (BCA Dept.).
