With the continuous endeavor to provide learning environment IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus, Department of Information Technology (BCA) has started its first Peer Enrichment Program and the pioneer Speaker of the Day was Prof. Alok Singh Chauhan who has shared his view on "Big Data and Hadoop".
The objectives of the session were to discuss Big Data, the most talked about trend in the all markets and to convey the relationship of Data Mining with respect to Big Data. The session started off with the brief introduction to Big Data and the significance of Big Data.

The session concluded with the demonstration of Hadoop Map Reduce to solve example of Word Count Problem. He was successful in changing the orientation of the participants towards Big Data and Hadoop Framework. Indeed it was great learning experience.
