The IMS (University Courses Campus) Ghaziabad had the opportunity to host Mr Vipin Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, VR solutions (P) Ltd., Mumbai, on Mar.'19,2018. In his two-hour interaction with the students of the Masters of International Business Programme, Mr Sharma gave insights on topics ranging from the estimation of potential and growth of logistics sector in India to Integration of technology in logistics and warehousing. The subject of the discourse was "Effective Logistics - Can you think beyond the obvious?".
The students were exposed to the different types of vessels, their uses in the shipping industry and the importance of decision-making for utilizing different modes of transport in improving services through logistics. The guest lecture was conducted with a view that industry interaction is as important as academic knowledge. It is vital for the management students to gain understanding of the corporate world, which is possible through their interactions with the industry stalwarts.
