IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus was venue host of the programme "Skill Will Lead" on 24th April, 2018. Confederation of Indian Industry initiated this programme to promote skills of students through inter college engagement.
Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director IMS Ghaziabad- University Courses Campus welcomed the eminent personalities and thanked Mr. Mahesh Munjal for taking a robust step for students' skill development.
Mr. Mahesh Munjal thereafter discussed the objective behind this initiative taken. He explained the relevance of nurturing and developing the brimming talent of the students, by providing a platform which takes them to a higher level. This programme accentuates on discussing the topics of vital importance in the areas of management. Mr. Rajesh Sikka was the Chief Guest of the programme. He shared his thought evoking words with the participation team and audience about the need of breaking our own benchmarks and making small step every day for better results.
This time CII invited students of colleges, to present a synopsis of the bestselling books on management. The participating colleges were Sharda University, KIET Group of Institutions, Amity University, AKGIM and IMS Ghaziabad-University Courses Campus. All the students were expected to deliver their presentations based on a book and then answer the questions of audience, if any. The judges of the presentation were Mr. Manoj Aggarwal, Head Public Affairs, CSR and Land Management at Cairn Vedanta Ltd., Mr. Ajay Goel- renowned coach and mentor and Mr. N.K Jalan, Advisor -M/s Avenir Management Services Pvt. Ltd. & Director of Super Seals India Ltd.
The first and second cash prizes were grabbed by the students of Sharda University and IMS Ghaziabad respectively. The third tied position was shared among the students of IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus and AKGIM.
In the end Dr. Pooja Rastogi, Dean IMS Ghaziabad University Courses and Ms. Priyanka Sadhna - Chairperson CDC thanked all the members associated with the program. Mr. Rakesh Chharia, General Secretary - IMS Group of Institutions congratulated all the faculty and staff members for the successful conduction of the event.
The student coordinators of the event were Madhav Garg, Rishabh Soni, Shubham Talwar, Himanshu Bhardwaj and Md. Shahadat. The Master of Ceremony was Soumya Grover. The students' team of EWL provided their support throughout the program.
