Summary of the event-
Literary Club at IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) on 2nd April 2025 organized a student-led workshop titled "Pen to Paper – A Journey of Young Author" in the Mini-Auditorium. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Harsh Verma, a BBA student from the Batch 2024-2027. The workshop aimed to empower and inspire young, aspiring authors by offering practical knowledge and insights into the world of writing, publishing, and the journey of becoming a successful author.
The event began with a warm introduction by the Literary Club, followed by an opening address by Mr. Harsh Verma, who shared his own experiences as an aspiring author. He discussed how writing can be an outlet for creativity and expression, and emphasised the importance of honing one’s writing craft through continuous practice and perseverance.
Mr. Harsh Verma delved deep into the process of creative writing, offering insights into how to structure stories, develop characters, and create engaging narratives. He also discussed common challenges faced by writers, such as writer’s block, self-doubt, and the difficulty of finishing a manuscript, and shared strategies to overcome these obstacles.
In addition, Mr. Harsh Verma introduced participants to the various publishing opportunities available today, emphasising both traditional publishing and self-publishing platforms. He spoke about the importance of understanding the publishing process and how authors can select the right platform for their work based on their goals and resources.
