Summary of the event

Research Cell at IMS (University Courses Campus), Ghaziabad organized a Peer Enrichment Session on “Roadmap to Research Development” on 24^th August, 2024. The  main agenda of the peer enrichment session was to orient the faculty members towards research while also listing down the research milestones to be achieved each year. As part of the research policy, each faculty member has to undertake many research activities including research paper publication, book writing, attending FDP, organizing student research activities, etc that was discussed during the session which was taken by Dr. Umesh Kumar and Prof. Komal Kapoor. 

The session discussed the various milestones while also giving information about the achievements of the previous academic year. The session also provided information about research recognitions and incentives as many new faculty members have joined the institute in the last one year. Many doubts of the faculty members were clarified along with inclusion of student research and staff development policy. 

Learning outcome:

• Attendees gained insights about the research policy and incentive scheme of the institution.
• Existing and new faculty got information about the new amendments along with the suggestions being provided. 
• The session aimed at orienting the faculty members towards collaborative research projects and consultancy projects.
