The Entrepreneurship Cell Organized a Talk show on the topic of “OPPORTUNITY ANALYSIS & INVESTOR’S EXPECTATIONS” for the students of all courses of Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad (university Courses Campus). The esteemed guest speaker of while having Mr. Vishal Khanna, Deputy Director, Centre for Innovation, Technology Commercialization, FICCI. The event was coordinated by Ms. Anushka Arya (BBA 2nd Year). Gratitude was given to the lead team of Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) followed by dignitaries, judges, club, and team. The session was planned according to the basic challenges the budding entrepreneurs face while making their idea turn into a successful startup. With his vast and rich experience in playing an instrumental role in conceptualization, structuring and execution of several GOI initiatives for entrepreneurship in building the conducive ecosystem in the country, the Mr. Khanna discussed the various government initiatives for the young students along with the investor's expectations. This talk show mainly focused to its topic where Mr. Vishal Khanna shared his experience and also the needful required becoming the apple of the eye for the venture capitalists, angel investors, and investors. The chief guest shared the 12 most important factors which many entrepreneurs lack, and the Investors only searches for these 12 qualities in the startup some of them included “Elevator pitch with value proportion”, “Market pain” and Customer’s buying decision. Mr. Vishal Khanna also shared the beneficial government schemes which many of the future entrepreneurs and the students are unaware of, the guest also made us realize how important and beneficial is to get your startup registered with the government and also avail the benefits during the long run. The session culminated with videos of 2 startup founders who made break through innovation in the field of medicine utility and differently abled people with improper vision. They went out of the way to bring joy in the daily lives of the people they targeted. The session ended on a note that without having a clear perspective, a good team, will to fight back the competitors and making the idea according to needs of customer, it’s hard to survive the competitive startup ecosystem of India. The event was wrapped up with a Vote of thanks by Dr. Indrani Bhattacharjee.
