BCA department organized a guest Lecture by Prof. R. S. Salaria on 15th December 2020. Prof. R. S. Salaria is a great teacher, renowned author and excellent motivator. He is an alumnus of IIT, Delhi. He is a Sun Certified Programmer , Certified Software Quality Professional by Ministry of Information Technology, Govt. of India; and Trainer by SUN Microsystems, USA.

He has a vast experience of about 30+ years in the field of teaching in various prestigious institutions like Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (Deemed University), Patiala, Punjab. He is expert in the field of Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms. He is currently interested in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning.

Prof. R.S. Salaria was supposed to give a lecture on “Problem Solving Approach with Programming” but he started with lecture on Human Values and how to think positive, than he explained the importance of innovative thinking to get success in life with lots of example. He told that we should study for knowledge and for the service of society, not for getting marks only. The students enjoyed their lecture and asked many questions which were related to their studies and life.

The session was very interactive and student enjoyed the session also. The session was ended with the lots of personal query by the students. 275 students was present during the lecture.
