MIB PLACEMENT - CORPORATE RESOURCE CENTRE OVERVIEW

A duly constituted Corporate Resource Centre with excellent facilities operates separately in the Institute. These Placement activities are manned by Dean CRC along with a Team of Faculties and staff. But are largely student-driven & are managed by them. The Centre constantly stays in touch with companies and allocates them time slots to begin their selection process.

CRC has been conceived with the objective of bringing Corporate personnel and academia together so that the corporate personnel can share their valuable inputs with our budding junior managers.

The main objective of the cell is to:
  • Facilitate students for all placement-linked activities
  • Supports students for summer training as well as Final placements.
  • Arranging Live Projects, Industrial visits, Workshop & Seminars, and Guest Lectures.

Placement Committee plays a vital role in the industry interaction, campus visit, and all summer Internship and final placement-related tasks.

Students Placement Committee comprises members of MIB & PGD 1st year and 2nd year. The selection of this Committee is based on multiple objective criteria set by the CRC. Student members are expected to establish and strengthen ties with companies in various industrial segments under the guidance of the Faculty and Officers of CRC. The Student Placement Committee under the guidance organizes and arranges Pre Placement Talks (PPTs) and Campus Interviews for students. Each student is assigned different tasks related to the facilitation of Summer Training and Final Placement Activities and it is expected that all the students would actively contribute to the above activities.

International Immersion Programme

The Master of International Business is unique two years Post Graduate Program focusing on all the areas of business activity to develop the most reliable policies and strategies that successfully achieve the objectives of a company in an international environment. The students of MIB are given opportunities to undertake international immersion programme and live projects in Dubai and other Asian economies where they may test-run the knowledge attained while learning new skills. The syllabi for MIB compares favorably with the syllabi of some of the world's best International Business schools and is consistently reviewed by the academic advisory council to reflect the industry requirement and the dynamics of a constantly changing business world. One Week International Immersion Program is one of the most dynamic parts of the program, where students were given opportunities to explore the global environment. This component is extremely beneficial to students as it had given practical real-time global experience. One-week immersion program facilitated students to provide an in-depth understanding of the Cosmopolitan Environment across the Globe and grab many opportunities to get global exposure.

In the past students have completed International Internships in the following groups (grammatical mistake in this sentence as mentioned on the website)the following paragraph to be removed These internships are organized in January/ February of the given year depending upon the availability of Slots and Visa permissions. After the internship students are required to prepare Project based on the Internship and real-time learning. These Projects carry 100 marks in final valuations. During internship, students are required to prepare and share different reports with Academic Mentors for better value addition.

MIB SUMMER INTERNSHIP

The summer internship is a compulsory requirement for the successful completion of the MIB and PGD. Students are required to undertake 6-8 weeks of summer internship training in a company/ organization, during the break between the 2nd and 3rd semesters. The objective of the Summer Internship is to help the student get first hand exposure to working in an organization and to provide him/ her with an opportunity for applying the concept and techniques to managerial problems.

There shall be a Project and Viva-voce examination in MIB & PGD, 3rd semester of Summer Training Project, which is in respect of the Summer Training undergone by a student after finishing the 2nd-semester examination.

The Summer Training Project prepared by a student shall be submitted to the Institute by August 31st, during 3rd semester.

All the students are required to submit their Summer Internship Report within the notified date to the Corporate Resource Centre (CRC), along with a certificate from the project guide of the organization in which the project was undertaken. The project report will not be accepted unless accompanied by a project guide certificate.

The deadline for submission of the summer project report presentation and Viva-Voce will be announced in the third trimester. Attendance for summer project presentations is compulsory for all students for all days of presentations.

The Summer Training Project shall be evaluated for 100 marks (Project Report-75 marks and Viva-Voce-25 marks). The Project Report and Viva-Voce shall be conducted by a Board of two examiners appointed by the University.

All students may also be required to give a formal presentation of Summer Project 10-20 minutes on summer training assignment, on scheduled date and time, which will be evaluated by a faculty committee.

No extension will be granted under any circumstance for the submission of the summer project report. All summer projects will be examined for plagiarism. Plagiarism cases will be dealt with strict disciplinary action and may result in expulsion from the Programme.

Normally each student is expected to work on an independent project but in case the organization providing training allocates a joint project, information about the same should be provided to CRC (duly supported by a letter from the organization) during the first week of summer training.

Students not completing their summer internship will not be eligible for promotion to next semester and may be debarred from the award of MIB and PGD.

Project Report and Viva-Voce: Each student will be assigned a project at the beginning of 4th semester by the faculty to work on a topical subject having a bearing on International Business and Marketing. The student will be required to work in a business organization under the guidance of a person belonging to the business organization.

Workshops for MIB Program:

The Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) is the hub for all industry-oriented activities like live projects, international internships, guest lectures, sensitization panel and industry mentoring.

The centre is manned by Dean CRC along with a Team of Faculties and staff, but it is largely student-driven & is managed by them. The Centre constantly stays in touch from the time the syllabus creation to celebrations of specialization to be offered to the summer internship and the final placement.

CRC has been conceived with the objective of bringing corporate personnel and academia together so that the corporate personnel can share their valuable inputs with our budding junior managers.

The main objective of the cell is to:
  • Facilitate students for all placement-linked activities
  • Supports students for summer training as well as Final placements.
  • Arranging Live Projects, Industrial visits, Workshop & Seminars, and Guest Lectures.

Placement Committee plays a vital role in the industry interaction, campus visit, and all summer Internship and final placement-related tasks. Students Placement Committee comprises members of MIB & PGD 1st year and 2nd year. The selection of this Committee is based on multiple objective criteria set by the CRC. Student members are expected to establish and strengthen ties with companies in various industrial segments under the guidance of the Faculty and Officers of CRC. The Student Placement Committee under the guidance organizes and arranges Pre Placement Talks (PPTs) and Campus Interviews for students. Each student is assigned different tasks related to the facilitation of Summer Training and Final Placement Activities and it is expected that all the students would actively contribute to the above activities.

The Master of International Business is unique two years Post Graduate Program focusing on all the areas of business activity to develop the most reliable policies and strategies that successfully achieve the objectives of a company in an international environment. The students of MIB are given opportunities to undertake international immersion programme and live projects in Dubai and other Asian economies where they may test-run the knowledge attained while learning new skills. The syllabi for MIB compares favorably with the syllabi of some of the world's best International Business schools and is consistently reviewed by the academic advisory council to reflect the industry requirement and the dynamics of a constantly changing business world. One Week International Immersion Program is one of the most dynamic parts of the program, where students were given opportunities to explore the global environment. This component is extremely beneficial to students as it had given practical real-time global experience. One-week immersion program facilitated students to provide an in-depth understanding of the Cosmopolitan Environment across the Globe and grab many opportunities to get global exposure.

In the past students have completed International Internships in the following groups (grammatical mistake in this sentence as mentioned on the website)the following paragraph to be removed These internships are organized in January/ February of the given year depending upon the availability of Slots and Visa permissions. After the internship students are required to prepare Project based on the Internship and real-time learning. These Projects carry 100 marks in final valuations. During internship, students are required to prepare and share different reports with Academic Mentors for better value addition.

The summer internship is a compulsory requirement for the successful completion of the MIB and PGD. Students are required to undertake 6-8 weeks of summer internship training in a company/ organization, during the break between the 2nd and 3rd semesters. The objective of the Summer Internship is to help the student get first hand exposure to working in an organization and to provide him/ her with an opportunity for applying the concept and techniques to managerial problems.

There shall be a Project and Viva-voce examination in MIB & PGD, 3rd semester of Summer Training Project, which is in respect of the Summer Training undergone by a student after finishing the 2nd-semester examination.

The Summer Training Project prepared by a student shall be submitted to the Institute by August 31st, during 3rd semester.

All the students are required to submit their Summer Internship Report within the notified date to the Corporate Resource Centre (CRC), along with a certificate from the project guide of the organization in which the project was undertaken. The project report will not be accepted unless accompanied by a project guide certificate.

The deadline for submission of the summer project report presentation and Viva-Voce will be announced in the third trimester. Attendance for summer project presentations is compulsory for all students for all days of presentations.

The Summer Training Project shall be evaluated for 100 marks (Project Report-75 marks and Viva-Voce-25 marks). The Project Report and Viva-Voce shall be conducted by a Board of two examiners appointed by the University.

All students may also be required to give a formal presentation of Summer Project 10-20 minutes on summer training assignment, on scheduled date and time, which will be evaluated by a faculty committee.

No extension will be granted under any circumstance for the submission of the summer project report. All summer projects will be examined for plagiarism. Plagiarism cases will be dealt with strict disciplinary action and may result in expulsion from the Programme.

Normally each student is expected to work on an independent project but in case the organization providing training allocates a joint project, information about the same should be provided to CRC (duly supported by a letter from the organization) during the first week of summer training.

Students not completing their summer internship will not be eligible for promotion to next semester and may be debarred from the award of MIB and PGD.

Project Report and Viva-Voce: Each student will be assigned a project at the beginning of 4th semester by the faculty to work on a topical subject having a bearing on International Business and Marketing. The student will be required to work in a business organization under the guidance of a person belonging to the business organization.

Even before the completion of MIB course, students are fully equipped for any kind of managerial tasks. They have a plethora of options available for managerial position in India and abroad. Highly acclaimed CRC professionals provide innumerable placement opportunities to MIB Students.
