Summary of the Event:
Web App Club organized a workshop, “Fun with Canva”on 30th April 2021. This workshop was conducted for beginners as well as intermediate level students. Canva is a graphic design platform, used to create social media graphics, presentations, posters, documents and other visual content.This was an introductory session of Canva graphic designing. LakshayAgarwal(BCA 2nd year) the secretary of the club along with ShubhamModi (BCA 2nd year),KeshavGarg (BCA 1st year) ,AnshikaVarshney (BCA 1st year), the members of the club , conducted the workshop. The workshop focused more on the practical approach to designing rather than theoretical. Firstly, the software named Canvawas introduced by KeshavGarg. He highlighted the scope of graphic designingand how Canva can be helpful in it. Later AnshikaVarshney take over the stage and told the participants about the various inbuilt options available in Canva.She told about the simple features of Canvaand how to use the tools in menubar, videos for making templates or poster . Just after the introduction of features the club secretoryLakshay Agarwal explain all the feature present in Canva practically like effects on poster with the help of different filters , saturation, how to create presentations and collage, how to add audio vediosetc.ShubhamModi also took some practical examples like adding templates and editing those templates according to the requirements in the hand on session. He also discussed the fields where CANVA can be used and how to get free lancing projects. The practical session lasted for 1 hour 20 minutes. In the last, club mentor Prof. Meghna motivated the students to explore more on CANVA and keep learning new things.Approx 54 students actively participated in the workshop.
Learning Outcome:
Students learnt about the graphic designing software CANVA .With the help of this software they can now create more designs and templates to showcase their creativity.
