Summary of the Event:

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organized Samvad se Srijan (Inaugration of IMS Studio) under the expert guidance of Dr. Anil Kumar Nigam, as part of the Bachelors of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication course. The objective of the event was to help students gain practical exposure using advanced equipment in the studio, skill development, and communication execution—core areas of practical in-field journalism practices.

The students of IMS Today and faculties of BAJMC gave their utmost contribution in managing the studio inauguration, including systematic presentation of each part of the studio, making the guests visit the IMS Today Studio- Production Studio, Podcast Setup, Production Control room, Post Production area, Radio Control room, Radio recording studio and the grooming room.

The inauguration reflected the contribution and hard work of BAJMC Department and the Institute in rebuilding and renovating the studio which will help the students to gain practical exposure in a more efficient manner. The guests briefed us about the importance of Journalism and Communication in the generation of misinformation and disinformation. They also motivated the students to be confident, creative and active in their field with their inspiring and innovative words of wisdom.

Under the mentorship of the renowned guest, students received valuable feedback on message clarity, strategy alignment, presentation, and audience engagement techniques. The interactive discussion that followed allowed students to reflect on their learning experiences and understand the practical challenges faced in executing real-world journalistic skills.

The session concluded with appreciation for all the guests and alumni for their insightful and encouraging words of wisdom towards the students and giving their valuable time to the Institute and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
