MIB ORIENTATION PROGRAMME – DAY-2
 
Topic - “Session on Course Pedagogy”
 
Course pedagogy session for I year MIB students was conducted by Prof. Abhinav Kataria on 18th August 2020. During the session following points were discussed:
Semester wise course structure of MIB+ PGD students were explained, each semester will be divided into two LAP (Lecture of academic proficiencies). The need and benefits of foundation courses which are included in the Pre orientation program. During the session some queries of students regarding teaching methodology and University semester system were raised and explained by the speaker satisfactorily. As per student’s feedback the session was very constructive and fruitful.

 Session -2
Topic: “Session on Personal Financial Planning”
The Department of Management Studies of IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organized a session on “Personal Financial Planning” on 18th of August 2020 for MIB 2020-22 batch as part of their orientation program. The session was taken by Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj (Faculty in the area of Banking & Finance). The objective of conducting the session was to make students aware about various elements of Financial planning, like: Personal financial analysis, Debt counselling, Insurance planning, Investment planning, Taxation, Risk profiling, Portfolio construction, Risk & return, Review & rebalancing of portfolios etc. 
The session ended with the question answer round where students asked multiple questions related to full proof financial planning in current pandemic scenario. The session was nicely organized by Master of ceremony, Prof. Komal Kapoor.
 
Session-3
Topic - “Session on Continuous Evaluation Method”
Continuous evaluation session for I year MIB students was conducted by Prof. Abhishek Jain on 18th   August 2020. During the session following points were discussed:
Examination and evaluation rules for CCS University Examination and examination and evaluation rules for Post Graduate Diploma (PGD). The session covered all the internal and external parameter for evaluation. Concept of Lecture of Academic Proficiencies - LAP and specialization and super specialization was discussed. As per the student feedback the session was very valuable and fruitful.

Session-4
Topic – “Contemporary issues for Marketing & Sales in IT Industry”
The Guest lecture session for I year MIB students was taken by Mr. Anurag Vijyawat – Sr. Regional Director-Sales, Sydney - HCL Technologies - Sydney, Australia on 18th August 2020. During the session the speaker discussed about his journey and experience in the corporate world. He also discussed the strategies and some simple fundamentals for succeeding in life and career as well. He shared many inside stories which helped students to learn the facts. He explained students about the career path in sales and marketing and also break the myths of sales. In the later part of the session he motivated the students with the wonderful poem and encouraged them to do achieve success in their life. Students were very energetic and enthusiastic throughout the session.

Session-5
Topic – “Session on Placement and Employability”
Placement and employability session for I year MIB students was conducted by CRC-Team (Mr. Mandeep & Mr. Vijay) on 18th  August 2020.During the session following points were discussed;
The speaker discussed the agenda of the CRC –Team and its structure. The session covered all the major aspects of MIB in terms of placement and employability. The speaker also talked about that how CRC help students to getting placed in top companies. They also discussed about the competency mapping of the students by providing them industry visits, guest lecture, internship opportunity, career counselling and goal setting session and Pre placement offers. As per the student feedback the session was very constructive and fruitful.
