Faculty Development Program

IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus organized a Faculty Development Program on 17 October 2020 on the topic ‘Engaging Virtual Presentation’ on zoom platform. The resource person Mr. Surya Narain Bahadur, Transformation Enabler and Corporate Trainer (Confluence - Training & Development) was invited to share the intricacies involved in delivering engaging lectures to the students. The intent of the workshop was to sensitize and train faculty to follow innovative strategies to enhance attention span of the students in virtual classes.

Dr. Sapna Rakesh welcomed Mr. Bahadur and appreciated the faculty for showing never dying urge to upskill themselves. The training was based on working on handling mindset, skillset and tool set in order to attain the objective of every class. The participants were also trained to adopt various techniques that can make the session even more interactive and ensure good participation from students’ end. Experiential learning helped the participants to relate their issues and address them by using a variety of skills for better results. Innovative pedagogy tools were used during the session including mind mapping, quizzes, and games. The facilitator-led discussions and team exercises helped the members to draw a fine analogy between existing and anticipated modus operandi.
