The Department of Management Studies of IMSUC, Ghaziabad in association with the National Institute of Securities Markets hosted the event "NISM-IMSUC CSM & National Level Quiz".(An educational initiative of SEBI) has organized a Career Session & National Level Quiz Competition for all courses students of IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus on 22nd December 2020 at 10.30 AM (Tuesday).

The session was started to enlighten the morning with some valuable insights by the host, And Director of IMSUC Ghaziabad Dr. Sapna Rakesh, HOD- Management Department Dr. Geeti Sharma, and Director–NISM Shri S.K Mohanty.

Sir has given a brief about the recent structure, opportunities, and challenges of Indian stock markets and how it becomes popular among the youth during the pandemic period. Lots of IPO and their oversubscription were discussed in the session. The bond market, share markets, and mutual funds are at an all-time high. Technology places a vital role in the securities markets.
NISM plays a key role to educate investors and students who are from different backgrounds through their Courses. They give the real-time experience of trading in the stock markets.

Further, the speaker of the session Ms. Rupali Mhatre and Ms. Harshita Pant, Manager –NISM gave details about the securities markets. The securities market is a common platform to trade in the market. It is a productive place where assets are traded efficiently. IPO is a way where companies get funding the first time. SEBI sets for the safeguard of investors. CDSL and NDSL are the depositories for digital documentation. License plays an important role in becoming a broker or having a career in the securities market.
They have also given a brief about NISM Certification Module & Exam along with the NISM-IMSUC 4-Monline Joint certification program where participants across the globe can enroll themselves and become a Securities Markets Certified professional. The aim of this online joint certification program is to equip students with contemporary skills and knowledge required to capitalize on forthcoming opportunities in securities markets.
At the end of the session, a National level Quiz was conducted by NISM on AI Proctored mode where students of our institution have actively participated and the result for the zonal level is awaited.

The session & National Level Quiz ended with lots of motivation and new insight into the financial world. Prof. Ashish Kumar Shrivastava presented the vote of thanks to the speaker and participants; with this, the event was successfully ended. 150+ participants participated in the event.
