Summary of the Event:

IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus has conducted “AnAwareness program on IPR (workshop)” for faculty members of all departments.The objectivesof the workshop were:

  1. To highlight upon types of IP Rights.
  1. Introduction to design cycle of patenting and designing.
  2. Aware and understand about patenting, copyright and design
  3. Enabling participants to understand what can be patented and what can’t be patented.

Mr. Saurabh Chauhan is an expert in patent monetization, infringement analysis, reverse code engineering and tear down analysis. He has performed 1000+ Patent Searches, 300 + Infringement Analysis and drafted many patent applications (for India, USA, Europe, PCT/WIPO). In particular, Saurabh holds a very significant space in the critical matters of Patentability Searches, Invalidation Searches, Freedom to Operate (FTO)/Clearance Search, Infringement Analysis, Patent Preparation, Patent Filing and Preparing Responses to Office Actions. He quoted that patenting and copyright is something which is a necessary for every kind of idea and innovation.

Mr. Tushar Srivastava brings experience of more than a decade in a broad range of Intellectual Property subject matters. He is expert jury member for hackathons. He is also Bell Certified IP Professional and registered Patent Agent (India). He worked extensively in the area of IP and business strategy development, and became known face in domain of build-up patent portfolio development and management

Learning Outcome:

The workshop made participants know about the various IP Rights such as Trademark, Patenting, Copyright and different myths of patenting. The workshop also makes participants aware about government promotion policies for IPR in academia and its impact on economy. It also made participants to know about the patent cycle and design cycle
