Summary of the Event:

Considering the tough pandemic times and the ongoing second wave, the Career Development Centre at IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus organized a workshop on 'Stress Management in COVID Pandemic Wave' on 20 May 2021 for the students pursuing undergraduate courses. The main objective of the workshop was to equip the students and their parents with an amalgam of stress management techniques and tools for promoting well-being. Dr. Deepali Monga, Life Coach & International Corporate Trainer, having a rich experience of more than 20 years was the key resource person for the same. She conducted mindful exercises and activities, while highlighting the physical, physiological and behavioral symptoms of stress amid crisis situation.  She also discussed at length about the happy hormones and its importance, namely-endorphins, serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin. Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus suggested that all the communities at large are in the dire need of managing stress to maintain the emotional equilibrium and physical health. Ms. Priyanka Sadhna, Chairperson, Career Development Centre along with CDC faculty members Ms. Himanshi Verma, Ms. Anuradha Bhardwaj and Ms. Sapna Kumar extended a note of gratitude to all the associated members for the overwhelming support and assistance in the planning and execution of the workshop.   

 

Learning Outcome

Students got to know the important role played by the diet and the sleep pattens. Her invigorating tips on managing anxiety helped all the participants to find new ways to handle stress in an effective and healthy manner amid pandemic crisis.
