School of Biosciences, IMS (University Courses Campus) Ghaziabad celebrated the Green Consumer Day on 28th September 2016.
With a notion to think, re-think of what we buy and the impact it has on us & on our common environment. Motivated by the universal need that has arisen, it is the day to carefully list down individual ways in which all of us can make a difference to make this earth a better place.
The event started with the completion ‘Best out of Waste’ based on the best suitable theme Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. About 70 students from the different courses enthusiastically participated in the competition. Students made variety of useful items from waste materials, with the focus primarily on awareness raising and the importance of waste. Each group worked on the given theme for forty five minutes. The results were announced with all the three winning categories and consolation prizes.
