REPORT OF Chase The Case:An HRM Case Competition

Summary of the Event:

The Management Department of IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus organized ?Chase the Case: An HRM Case study Competition? on June 26, 2021. The event was initiated with words of wisdom by Dr. Geeti Sharma,Chairperson- Management Department; wherein she highlighted the benefits of organising such competitions and motivated participants to put in their best. Masters of the ceremony, Shruti Kansal and Divya Gupta took over the screen and overviewed the audience about the competition.

The competition was conducted in two different rounds. The screening round was Situational Analysis where teams were given different situations. Selected teams were promoted to the next round based on their viewpoint of the situation. The final round was Case Analysis where each team was given a case.The teams were sent to separate breakout rooms and were given a time of 10 mins to read and prepare the case analysis. Then, teams were sent back to the main screen and each team was given a chance to present their case analysis that followed by question and answer session.

Winners of the event:

1. Team Diligent Cluster (PoorviSharma, Aman Kumar, Kamal Tyagi, VanshikaSaxena)-1^st Position
2. Team Brainy Fools (Sagnik Dutta, NandiniDhawan, TarunaSaxena, AashiMehrotra) ? 2^nd Position
3. Team HRM Greeks (DhruvSinghwani, KomalKansal, Harshit Khandelwal, AshiSharma)- 3^rd Position
4. Team Work Chasers (Pratham Yadav, Radhika Mehta, PrateekSachan, NiyatiVerma) - 3^rd Position 

The overall session was really interactive and very insightful as well. The session came to an end  with a vote of thanks proposed by Ayush Gupta, Student Coordinator, where he conveyed his heartful gratitude to Dr.Sapna Rakesh, Director-IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus, Dr. Geeti Sharma, Chairperson- Management Department, Dr. Shilpi Sarna, BBA 1^stYear Coordinator, Prof.VanchanTripathi, Faculty Coordinator of the event and judges of the event Prof. Nidhi Srivastava, Dr. Anchal Luthra, Prof. Akansha Tyagi. He extended his sincere thanks to Utkarsh Dutt Roy and Sachin Singh Rawat for the overall coordination of this event.
