Summary of the Event:

The finance club organized; ?Knock Out ?The Debate Competition?on the topic ?Future of Cryptocurrency? on June 28, 2021via zoom. The idea behind organizing this small activity was to bring out the enormous talent among students, to help them improve their critical thinking skills, to help them acquire better poise, speech delivery and public speaking skills.

The anchors, started by guiding the audience with covid?-19 precautions and regulation which are necessary to follow and then the rules and judgment criterion was highlighted. The participants were divided into 2 teams- for the motion and against the motion.The participants were judged on the basis of their presentation skills, the knowledgeabout the topic, use of argument&use of cross examination and rebuttal.

The HOD of the BBA department Dr. Geeti Sharma shared words of wisdom with the students.

The debate started with the participants putting forward their initial presentation, each participant came up with dynamic thoughts and viewpoints and competed for and against the motion. Their argument was based on some key points like influencers such as Warrant Buffet and Elon Musk and their take on cryptocurrency, regulations imposed so far,scams experienced, funds required, money laundering in cryptocurrency, use of block chain technology, whether it can be hacked or is secure enoughetc. Also questions and answers were put up, to which students had been brave enough to respond to some difficult ones. Finally, each team was given the opportunity to sum up their argument before the judges offer feedback to the debaters and retire to deliberate about the best speakers from each side. The judges for the event were Prof. Abhinavkatariaand Prof. Komal Kapoor.

Finally the result was declared andProf. AbhinavKatariashared some motivating words with the participants with a concluding remark on cryptocurrency,the E-Memento was presented to respected judges.At the end the vote of thanks was presented by one of the Finance Club HeadsProf.CA AnuTyagi, and the event was concluded.
