IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus), Organized One Week Online Faculty Development Program On ?INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS (IPR): ISSUES & CHALLENGES? from August 9, 2021 to August 13, 2021 in association with Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs of India (CWEI).
More than 150 Participants attended the FDP from more than 70 Institutes & Corporate houses across the India and globe. To extend the benefit of FDP for all stake holders, the event was also live on YouTube channel.
Day 1:
Prof. Sunil Kumar Sharma initiated the first day of the FDP with brief introduction about Institute & Scope of the program followed by Prof. Rakesh Roshan?s invitation to Dr Ajay Kumar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus for Welcome address. FDP was inaugurated on 9th August, 2021 by Dr Ajay Kumar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus. Dr Kumar extended a warm welcome to Chief Guest and all participants. Dr Kumar also spoke about the importance of IPR in current Scenario.Prof. Sunil Kumar Sharma invited chief guest Mr. Parag M. More (CEO- Intellectual Platform) for his valuable talk.
Mr. Parag M. More discussed about the Scope of IPRs, Purpose of the Patent System, Copyright and Design. The session of Mr More was extremely wonderful and full of knowledge.
Dr Anwesha Khanra introduced the chief guest of the second Session Professor (Dr) P. S. Grover (Former Dean and Director, DU & GGSIPU, Delhi) and invited him for his valuable Talk.
Dr P.S. Grover talked about very important topic ?Intellectual Property in Mobile Applications and Protection?. The session was very interactive and informative.
The Session was concluded after intense discussion with participants. Both esteemed speakers answered to the questions asked by participants.
Finally Vote of Thanks was given by Dr Gagan Varshney ? Chairperson BCA Program.
Day 2:
Prof. Sunil Kumar Sharma initiated 2nd day Program of the FDP with brief introduction of the Guest Speaker Mr. Prakalpa Sharma - Assistant Registrar-Legal, IIT Kanpur.
Mr. Prakalpa Sharma discussed about the International Framework for the Protection of IPR & Legal Framework of Patents in India. The session of Mr Sharma was extremely wonderful and full of knowledge.
Day 3:
Prof. Rakesh Roshan initiated 3rd day program of the FDP with brief introduction about the guest Speaker Mr. Vishal Shukla - Assistant Controller of Patents & Design, Patent Office, Delhi.
Mr. Vishal Shukla discussed about the Patentability and Non-Patentable Inventions, Types of Patent Applications and detailed Procedure of filing patents. The session of Mr Shukla was extremely amazing and knowledgeable.
Dr Anwesha Khanra introduced the guest speaker of the second Session Professor Sunil Kumar Sharma and invited him for his valuable Talk.
Professor Sharma talked about very important topic ?Role and Importance of Licensing in Technology Transfer?. The session was very interactive and informative.
The Sessions were concluded after intense discussion with participants. Esteemed speakers answered to the questions asked by participants with great pleasure.

Day 4:
Prof. Sunil Kumar Sharma initiated 4th day program of the FDP with brief introduction about the guest Speaker Dr Rupali Shivapurkar - Technical and Scientific expert @Intellectual Platform.
Dr Rupali Shivapurkar discussed about Prior Art Search & Resources, Key Knowledge gaps in IP and its impact on commercialization. The hands-on practice session of Dr Rupali Shivapurkar was extremely amazing and knowledgeable.
Dr Anwesha Khanra introduced the guest speaker of the second Session Professor Rakesh Roshan ? School of IT, IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) and invited him for his valuable Talk.
Prof. Roshan talked about very important topic ?Copyright Policies in Digital Media?. The session was very interactive and informative.
Day 5:
Prof. Sunil Kumar Sharma initiated 5th day program of the FDP with brief introduction about the guest Speaker Pushpak Singh - Researcher & IP Consultant, @Questel Orbit Intelligence, France.
Mr. Pushpak Singh discussed about Patent Prosecution in India and Career Opportunities in IPR domains for students and professionals. The session of Mr. Singh was extremely knowledgeable and fulfilled the need of all participants.
Prof. Rakesh Roshan introduced the guest speaker of the second Session Dr Anwesha Khanra ? School of Bio Sciences, IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) and invited her for valuable talk.
Dr Khanra talked about very important topic ?Significance of IPR regimes on rapidly developing arena of Bio-energy?. The session was very interactive and informative.
