Summary of the Event:

 

IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) has organised an Induction Program on August 26, 2021 to welcome BBA II and III Year students (2020-2023 & 2019-2022) Batch. The day began with the reporting and registration of students at the registration desk.

The program was initiated by the National Anthem. Post that all the dignitaries seek blessings of goddess Saraswati by offering flower petals, followed by the welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar - Director IMS, Ghaziabad University Courses Campus. Sir captivated the young minds and also talked about the importance of living every moment as we are living in the time of Uncertainty. Sir also said that it is not just an event but the attitude that causes success. He also highlighted the initiatives taken by the college for the overall and holistic development of students. He focused on the relevance of exploring the potential & extending horizons so that one can also contribute towards society.

Mr. Kamalendu Bali (Vice President, Solution @Conctrix) the Chief Guest of the day conversed with the students to be Thankful and have gratitude. Mr. Bali also mentioned that only few people around the world get this opportunity to pursue the undergraduate courses and students who have got this privilege should grab the opportunity as much as they can. He inspired the student to focus on We instead of I, Me or Myself. He told the students to inculcate the habit of reading, find a purpose and be hungry for their passion. He also mentioned the importance of Upskilling oneself from time to time as skills learned today may become obsolete tomorrow.

In this context, Dr. Amita Srivastava (Director, Brencis Group) cited to seek opportunity from every crisis as   every dark cloud has a silver lining. She also talked about four quotients i.e. Intelligence Quotient, Emotional Quotient, Social Quotient and Change Quotient and also mentioned how the world shifted the focus from  IQ to CQ . She has inspired the students by sharing the stories of Bata and AMUL Group which has grown 2% instead of pandemic. She also revealed how to think out of the box.

 

Mr. Abhishek Bhattacharya (Co-Founder, Whrrl) was connected to the students through Zoom. He addressed the students about block chain, Startups & Unicorns and the right age to be an entrepreneur. After this he had taken students queries, it was a very interactive session.

 

The program further progressed with the vote of thanks by Chairperson BBA - Dr. Geeti Sharma, wherein she extended her heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries for gracing the occasion, faculty members for working 24*7 for the event and the Students of BBA Second year and Final year, the CRC, Admin, Admission & the EWL team for making the event a grand success.

 

After this, Students were addressed by Mr. Mandeep Singh Rawat, Chairperson, and Corporate Resource Centre along with their team members. They highlighted the functioning of their departments, enabling students to get exposed to live projects, internships and placements. They also talked about different sectors and the importance of digitalization.

 

Ms. Anuradha Bhardwaj ?from Career Development Centre, highlighted the objectives of their department i.e. enabling students to discover their traits and abilities, enhancing employability and providing career guidance for long term success.           

 

The students gained valuable insights from all the eminent speakers and were able to foresee the pursuit of holistic & value-based development individuals.
