REPORT OF BJMC Induction Program

Summary of the Event:

On 26th of August, the Journalism and Mass Communication department welcomed the batch of 2019-22 and 2020-23 back to college.

The induction program started off with Dr Ajay Kumar, Director at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus addressing the audience and welcoming the students back to the campus after a long gap of Covid lockdown. It was an emotional speech and he used several nice proverbs and remarked, even though the lockdown was a difficult time, it only made us stronger. The guests of honor for the day were Miss Zareen Naaz and Mr. Dileep Singh. Miss Zarin Naaz told the students to come into the field of entertainment because one can do anything in it. She motivated the students in a very friendly and comic manner, and also acted and used dubbing voices on stage. The students were thoroughly entertained. She also answered various questions asked by the students. After this the Head of BJMC, Professor Girish Kumar Singh welcomed Mr Mandeep Singh, chairperson of CRC, on the stage. He talked about various companies and job opportunities. He said that digitisation has played an important role and it will help in our career. He also said that the college will try to take the students on industry visits. After the CRC session the second guest of the day Mr. Dileep Singh, an actor, RJ and anchor addressed the students. He told the students that if you know what you want to speak and how to speak, you will be listened to. He talked about VANI - voice, articulation, narration and imagination. After this Professor Sandhya Sharma briefed the students about specializations provided in the course of three years. After this Professor Girish Kumar was invited and he told about the course curriculum and the road map of BJMC. Then the anchor engaged the audience in a fun quiz. The event was concluded by awarding the meritorious students followed by the vote of thanks by Professor Khursheed Alam.

The event has boosted the students and they are ready to get back to the amazing college life.
