Report of BJMC Orientation Program

Summary of the Event- 

On 16th of October 2021 the School of Journalism and Mass Communication welcomed the batch of 2021-24 to the college. The Chief Guest of the day was Mr. Sarfaraj Saifi and Guest of honor for the day was Ms. Deepika Sharma and Mr. Akhil Pratap Gautam.

The Orientation program started with the address of  Prof.( Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Director at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus .He welcomed the BJMC fresher students to the campus. It was a motivational speech and he used several nice proverbs and remarks. After his address the Chairperson of School of Journalism and Mass Communication Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kumar Nigam also addressed the students with his kind words and welcomed them to the department. Chief Guest of the Program eminent anchor Mr. Sarfaraz Saifi told the students about the struggle and hard work needed in the field of journalism and mass communication whereas he also told the students about the dedication and consistency required in the field. Guest of Honor Ms. Deepika  Sharma from Digital Media addressed the students and told them the importance of reading ,writing and speaking and let them know about the future needs of digital media. She also told the students about the vigilance, hard-work and motivation required for the same. She said that digitalization has played an important role and it would help in the career of the budding journalists. Guest of Honor Mr. Akhil Pratap Gautam told the students about the theatre as a medium of mass communication. He inspired the students to follow the passion and the dedication required in the field. He motivated the students by asking them to have love with their work passionately.

After the session of different guests all the guests  answered various questions asked by the students and then the Chairperson, Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kumar Nigam presented a vote of thanks to the Guests and Students.

Learning Outcome:- Students were highly motivated after the event. They learnt how to speak , read and write and prepare themselves for the field of journalism and mass communication. Overall it was a great learning experience for the budding media students.
