Highlights of the program

School of Management (BBA) of the Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organized a Guest Lecture on 29th October, 2021 for the students of BBA Batch (2020-2023). The topic for the session was ?Income from other Sources and Deductions?. The resource person for the day was CA Rohit Sethi, Income Tax Practitioner and Tax Consultant. He discussed about various Income from other Sources likre Interest on Security, Rent from letting out plant, machinery etc, Dividend on shares, winning from lotteries, income from sub-letting, receipt of gifts etc and their practical implication. Sir was very smart to tackle the students query, getting their opinion and take on various points. Also he gave a brief idea about the deductions like deductions available for the expenditure incurred and some which are available from Investment point of view.

It was a great learning as well as interactive session and an opportunity for the students to learn and clarify their doubts. CA Akansha Arora, Assistant Professor, Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) felicitated the guest with a eco-friendly sapling and a memento as a token of respect and gratitude. She also extended a vote of thanks at the end of the session to  Rohit Sethi sir for devoting his time and share his experience and knowledge with the students.
