Summary of the Event:

Summary of the event: The event started around 10:15 AM with proceeding with the rituals of National Anthem and Saraswati Vandana, and introduction to the guests and core topic of the Summit. The anchor invited Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Director, IMSUC Ghaziabad for felicitating the Chief Guest, Dr. Nitin Malik- Registrar, Ambedkar University, Delhi and Guest of Honour, Dr. Shashi Singh, Director and Chairperson, CWEI (India) and also to enlighten students over the topic. Dr. Malik told that being the 3rd largest startup ecosystem, this NEP will help India to achieve even more. Also told that India needs to move from Jugaad to Actual Innovations, as it is very important to dream high and aspire to become a job giver rather than a job seeker. He ended his timeline by saying that institutes doors are always open to the students of IMSUC Ghaziabad whoever wishes to take the path of entrepreneurship. Further Dr Malik who was the Chief Guest of the session addressed the gathering to share his views on the topic. He started by praising the members on stage and IMS Ghaziabad for arranging such an insightful event. He went on and compared the Old Education Policy with the NEW EDUCATION POLICY and ended his timeline by giving the simple yet powerful mantra of Learn, Unlearn and Relearn. The Guest of Honour, Dr Shashi Singh delivered her welcome address. She appreciated Dr. Malik?s inputs and went on by telling that India is full of entrepreneurial skills and that makes them a good risk takers and decision makers. She told that India has great startup potentials and NEP will help India to grow more and ended her timeline. Towards the end Prof. Sunil Sharma to proposed the formal vote of thanks for the inaugural session.

The next session being ?PLENARY SESSION 1? was started with all the industry panelists. After the introduction to the institute, the panelists were introduced, as well as getting them felicitated by faculties of the college. The main theme of the panel discussion as ?Entrepreneurship as the Preferred Career Option? The panelists included Dr. Mohammad Shafiq, Co-Ordinator, DRS of University Grant Commission, Govt Of India (Moderator), Mr. Amardeep Bajpai, Founder, Websidom, Digital Enabler and Investor, Mr. Arvind Deshmukh, Founder, Consultant at Deshmukh Global Management Solutions and Mr. Rakesh Kumar Shahi, Founder, Lifescience Intellipedia Pvt Ltd. The discussion went on positively, with each of them giving a positive touch to the topic. Panel later was open to questions and students were asking relevant questions which were beautifully answered by the panelists themselves. Prof. Vanchan Tripathi proposed the formal vote of thanks and the session ended around 2:00 PM.

The next panel for ?PLENARY SESSION 2? started in the second half of the day on the topic ? The role of NEP 2020 in developing an entrepreneurial ecosystem in HEIs? The panelists included Prof. Komal Kapoor, Assistant Professor, IMSUC Ghaziabad (Moderator), Dr. Indrani Bhattacharjee, Professor, Finance & Entrepreneurship, IMSUC Ghaziabad, Dr Umesh Kumar, HOD, School of Bioscience, IMSUC Ghaziabad, Dr Pooja Rastogi, HOD MIB, IMSUC Ghaziabad and Prof Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, IMSUC Ghaziabad. The discussion went on to how higher educational institutes should support a student?s entrepreneurial journey, which eventually will lead to our country?s development. After some further positive discussions, the panel were open to questions and did answered each and every question, very positively. The event as well as the ONE DAY SUMMIT on ROLE OF NEP 2020 IN INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP ended by 4:30 PM with a formal vote of thanks given by Prof. Shenki Tyagi, faculty from the management department.
