REPORT OF National Energy Conservation Day

Summary of the Event:

Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) in collaboration with Institutional Innovation Council celebrated National Energy Conservation Day on December 14,2021.The objective was to generate awareness among the masses about the importance of saving energy and to encourage people to use it efficiently.The event began with the welcome address by Prof.(Dr)Ajay Kumar, Director IMSUC where he addressed the students on the need of conserving energy and fulfilling one?s duty as a good citizen of nation.The Guest of Honour Mr.Deepak Bajpai, Managing Director, Certified Energy Auditor,Engineering Facility Services, Noida highlighted on the celebration of this day annually declared by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) India as per Energy Conservation Act in 2001.He further mentioned to avoid unnecessary use of energy to preserve the future.He also awarded the IMSUC Campus with the Clean and Green Campus Award and Energy Efficient Campus award certified by Engineering Facility Services, Noida.Also, the winners of Poster Competition organised by Art & Craft Club  on the theme ?Conserve Energy to preserve future?were felicitated with Trophies. The faculty ,students and staff of IMSUC pledged to preserve energy for the future generation.

The IIC Convener Dr.Indrani Bhattacharjee later announced the Power Shut in campus for 30 minutes followed by student Silent Rally March in campus.

Learning Outcome

The message given is that every person can save energy by eliminating unnecessary use of fan, light, heater, or other electrical instruments used in their daily life. It is the easiest and effective way to save extra energy usage which can be played a major role in National Energy Conservation Campaign.
