Abstract of Visit:

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is the initiative Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of it?s people, culture and achievements. The official journey of ?Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav? commences on 12th March, 2021 which starts a 75 week countdown to our 75th anniversary of Independence and will end post a year on 15th August, 2023. As part of the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,'  IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus organized an industrial visit  Bharat Electronic limited, Ghaziabad for students of MIB batch (2021-23). The visit started with the welcome of students with introducing the objective of the visit and contribution of BEL in Defense sector. Students got an opportunity to have interaction with Dibyendu Bidyanta, AGM(HR), BEL Ghaziabad, where he told about 5 SBU under BEL Ghaziabad Unit. He also explained by Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA) which is the regulatory authority for Quality Assurance and final acceptance of products manufactured at various Defense PSUs, Ordnance Factories and Private Firms. After the brief introduction of BEL, students went to display room, where they saw the models of every manufactured product by BEL like types of Radar, Telecommunications, Sound and vision broadcasting, antenna. Further, students went for plant visit, composite processing unit, where students saw the compression machines, revolution of antenna, and various technology which used in defense sector. Students have learnt how innovation is most important for cost reduction. The head of mechanical department told that they import the heavy machines from outside of India which cost to Rs  2- 3 crore  and the work which can be done by human resources without much time consuming, and efficiency, they do by themselves and refuses importing the machines. This gives the motivation to students to think in entrepreneurial aspect and welfare to our country. The Visit ended with the question and answer overall it was great learning experience for everyone.
