Summary of the event:The event started with Dr. Pooja Rastogi, Chairperson MIB welcoming the industry expert, Mr. Vishal Khanna, Deputy Director, FICCI by providing sapling and memento as a token of gratitude. Next it went by the host inviting Dr. Pooja Rastogi to deliver her thought to enlighten the students. She told that entrepreneurship is something that cannot be left behind and the students present here should take some calculated risk to make India?s future, better. She also mentioned that while thinking about entrepreneurial journey, making money is fine, but it?s much more than that, one should have a clear vision by which they can do something, really game changing for the country. She ended her timeline by suggesting the students to listen to others and learn from their experiences. Further the host invited the guest on the dais to enlighten the students on the topic. He went by thanking the institute for providing him the opportunity.Further he told how one can generate a profitable startup from ideation stage. He shared key points to accelerate the startup. He mentioned about the development of prototype and also mentioned few steps so as to turn an idea into a sustainable business. He told about the PRAYAS SCHEME of the government, which can further accelerate a startup. He also suggested the upcoming entrepreneurs to read books such as ZERO TO ONE and THINK AND GROW RICH to develop a healthy entrepreneurial mindset and also to register their startupwithStart-Up India so as to be recognizable. He concluded his oration by sharing common mistakesthat many startups make and do fail eventually such as Not demonstrating the exact nature of business, Overstating the market, Not having a clear picture of their own startup, Patience Quotient, Zero or less knowledge of Switching Cost, presuming their idea is the best, ?I KNOW ALL? attitude and Paradox of 6 and 9 and strictly warned the students not to do any of these if they are serious about their startup. Approximately 50 students, who attended the lecture were fully satisfied by the concept as well as the clarity of the startup scenario that Mr. Vishal Khanna described. The guest lecture was later on officially ended by a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Komal Kapoor.
