Keeping the tradition alive, IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus hosted its Annual Inter-Institutional Marketing Carnival - MARKFEST 2021, with Jawa Motorcycle-EV Trades as the Title Sponsor, Amar Ujala as the Media Partner, and Maggie Hostspot, The Next Ingredient, Pizza King, and Chef Special as the Food Partner.

 

The programme was inaugurated by all the dignitaries by seeking the blessings of mother Saraswati followed by the welcome address by Dr Ajay Kumar - Director IMS, Ghaziabad University CoursesCampus.Sir captivated the young marketers and disseminated the message that MARKFEST 2021is not just an event but the attitude that will unleash the creative talents to emerge as marketing wizards and strategists. The event will witness the intersection of ideas, and skills through its various events.

 

Mr. Munish Chawla, the chief guest at MarkFest 2021, presented his life's experience, wisdom, and accomplishments; he addressed the crowd by sharing his thoughts on what it means to live. He also provided real insights that will be valuable to budding marketers; he believes that no success story is predetermined and that everything comes from experiences. He even put a specific emphasis on first-year students, asking them to grasp and acquire new and growing topics in the first and second years. Sir's encouraging comments have infused the audience with energy and fire.

 

Mr. Ishan Taneja, Guest of Honour, also shared his thoughts and experiences with the students. Sir shared numerous marketing thoughts and conveyed the message that there is no shortcut to success and that achieving certain benchmarks requires hard effort and dedication. He discussed the value of internships and live projects for students. He went on to say that students should be free to work on internships and live projects for as long as they desire, regardless of a set time limit. He drew the audience's attention to some important concepts like Customer Centric Approach, Big Data Analytics, Data Science, Brand Marketing, and other topics. For all students, his words were very encouraging and motivational.

 

In the same way, Guest of HonourMr. Ashish Pruthi shared his impeccable journey experiences by discussing the important parts, tactics, and facts about marketing, as well as enlightening the students on how to be a great marketer in the future by providing them actual instances from his own journey. He discussed the dynamic nature of marketing and how marketers must be dynamic individuals in order to deal with such a complex field of management studies. IMS was given a new definition by him, which he described as Idealistic, Magistic, and Superb. He talked about his own personal experience with the industry. For the students, his comments were very inspirational.ss

 

The programme ended with the vote of thanks by Chairperson BBA - Dr. Geeti Sharma, wherein she extended her heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries for gracing the occasion, faculty members for working 24*7 for the event, Student Coordinators, the CRC, Admin & the EWL team and Dr. Kumar Saurav (Head of Marketing & Event Coordinator) announced the MARKFEST 2021 ? Open...!!

 

 

New Product Launch

 

The event was all about bringing out the vision, creativity & feasibility of students by triggering the fault in the existing product. Students have to come up with innovative ideas to rule the market in connection with their previous brand extension and strategy. There were a total of 8 teams had been participated in this event 

 

"There are many paths, but the only one that leads to the top of the mountain is the one you make yourself."Ms. AnshikaKalyani and Khushi Arora the master of the ceremony started the event with the above wonderful quote followed by welcoming the enigmatic event guest Devanshi Kapoor Maam. The plethora of insurmountable ideas were discussed and presented, the event was full of exposing the latent qualities of the students. 

 

An excellent Course of action to bring out the best ideas.

Street Decals

Business Haat was one of the major attarction witnessed the participation of 42 stalls in categories entailing Food, Clothing,Handicrafts, Gaming zone, Selfie Corner etc.The objective is to provide the budding entrepreneurs a platform to understand the various operational aspects of business by running a stall/kiosk during the event and Earning while Enjoying. The event is all about live exposure to all the participating teams to understand the intricacies of business and achieve operational efficiency of the same.

The Haat was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar (Director- IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus), Mr. Ishan Taneja (Managing Director, UAS International Group Of Companies.), Mr. Ashish Pruthi (Director-Sales & Marketing ishopAtoZ), Mr. Munish Chawla (Co-Founder & Chief Happiness Officer at Jeevitam), Dr.PoojaRastogi-HOD(MIB) &Dr.Geeti Sharma, HOD(BBA).The students performed the Flashmob -fusion dance of classical and western which was well appreciated by everyone. Later all Stalls were judged by Mr.Girish Kumar &Mr.KhursheedAalam, Faculty School of Journalism and Mass Communication on the basis of Innovation and Creativity ,Presentation,Cleanliness &Public Engagement.All participants were also provided a chance to promote their stall with the help of  Live IMS Radio.

Brandwizz

Brandwizz was a Marketing Quiz wherein each participant team was given questions for Screening Round. Every participant team gave their best but not everyone got the chance to stand out. After screening round, 5 Teams (each team consisting of 2 participants) were selected for the further rounds. There were total 4 Rounds. Each round comprised of 10 questions. The 5 teams gave their best and at last the Team with highest scores won the Brandwizz. The winner was awarded with cash prize of Rs.3000 along with certificate of merit, trophy and a hamper

Market Jam

The objective of this event is to generate effective critical thinking of primary issues in the students, also to educate the students about the working process, and also to develop skills in the youth to solve issues and manage negotiations.

Moderator Mr Kaushal Singh starts the event by welcoming the delegates. In this session all the participants were representing CEOs of different companies, like what will they do, how they answer, with a bit of their touch.

Then moderator starts the discussion by introducing the topics ?are 4 Ps of marketing still relevant?, ?Becoming an ecosystem brand the only way to win customer loyalty??, ?Geofencing??, ?Artificial Intelligence in Marketing??, ?Influencer Marketing?. All the delegate took active participation in the discussion by telling us about their strategies, their opinion about current scenarios, what they want to do and trying to achieve, changing and new marketing trends.

         It was indeed a very fruitful session and turned out to be a success because of our enthusiastic            delegates and wise judges.

The motive behind this fest was to give platform to the management students to unleash their potential in marketing domain. The day long Marketing Carnival saw high energy and vibrancy in the campus where the students of all programs (MIB/BBA/BCA/ BJMC/B.Sc.) and more than 60 colleges of Delhi-NCR showcased their creative talent to emerge as marketing wizards and strategists.

 

Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar (Director- IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus), congratulated the participants for their active participation in each event and making this fest a grand success.all the Department HODs & Alumni guests felicitated the winners with certificates of Merits, Trophies, and attractive cash prizes in each category to acknowledge and encourage the talents of students for their achievements. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. AasthaSawhney& Prof. YagbalaKapil wherein they thanked the guests, management members, faculties, staff, participants from various colleges of Delhi NCR and student coordinators for making this event a great success.

 

Dr. IndraniBhatacharjee (Professor, School of Management) marked the closing of MARKFEST 2021 and the carnival came to an end.
