SOLO ACT COMPETITION

मैं अपनी कठपुतली

The Theatre Club at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus organised- Solo Act Competition- (मैं अपनी कठपुतली) on 7 April2022. Theatre is the medium of the masses. The event started with the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati on the song SaraswatiVandana. The grand opening of The Theatre Club, was warmly inaugurated by Director Ajay Kumar.The students enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition inspired the budding actors to come forward and show their acting flairs without any restrictions on genre. The students came up with an interesting scripts and entertained the audience with great fondness and zeal. The event was inaugurated with the introduction of the guest of the day, Film and Television Actor, Mr. Varun Kapoor via Zoom. He interacted with the students and zealously answered their questions. Students were judged on the parameters of confidence, voice modulation, script and overall presentation. The event was concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Club head Prof. Anurag Singh.

Learning outcome: -The students learned the skills of performing as an actor and also were equipped with the various nuances of script writing and performing by Mr. Varun Kapoor. The event served it’s purpose in bringing out the hidden actors among the students.
