The School of Journalism and Mass Communication at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus organised an event for the Launch of the YouTube Channel named as IMS Today on 17 May 2022. The motive behind launching this channel is to provide students an exposure in the field of media and to help them develop their skills. The event started with the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati by tributing a flower showering. The event further moved on with the speech of the Director Dr. Ajay Kumar, he motivated the students and introduced them to the chief guest of the event. The HOD of School of Journalism and Mass Communication Dr Anil Kumar Nigam also addressed the audience. The students enthusiastically participated in the event and showed great interest during the launch of the channel. Later, the Chief Guest Professor KG Suresh took over the stage and shared his experience and guided the team of IMS Today that how to grow the channel. He created a new vision for IMS standing for I as Innovation, M as Modern and S as Social. Also, he added the importance of ground reporting in the field of media, solving the doubts of students and answering their questions he ended his words.
The Chief guest was welcomed in the expression studio of the institution, through the ribbon cutting process, and he was interviewed by one of the student anchor of IMS Today. Later, he expressed his gratitude towards the renovated studio of IMS.
The event was concluded by the Vote of Thanks by the HOD of School of Journalism and Mass Communication Dr. Anil Kumar Nigam.
Learning outcome: -The students learned importance of ground reporting and the three formulas by the chief guest to live life better, To always smile, to help others and to be a assertive communicator.
