On this joyful occasion of Teachers' Day, the Cultural Club of IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus, organized the three day celebration of Teachers' Day "Shikshak Parv" from 5th September to 7th September, 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the former President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, an accomplished scholar and academician.

The Day 1 of the three day Celebration Program, commenced with the Felicitation Program of the faculty members from 2:30 p.m. onwards in the auditorium. The objective of the celebration is to acknowledge the dignity of the teaching profession and contribution of teachers in shaping young minds. With the blessings of Maa Saraswati, the event began with the welcome address by MOC Atin Singh & Gunjan Kamal, from IMS School of Management wherein they talked about the reason behind celebrating Teachers’ Day. It was followed by the Director’s address who emphasised on the responsibilities that comes with being a teacher. He also highlighted the main concern of a teacher is to make students develop a perspective and to change the perspective of others for teaching as a profession. He then announced the Best Faculty in all the departments of the college and the Best Researcher of the Academic Year 2021-22 and also declared research incentives will be provided to the faculty from this year onwards.  After that, the students of IMSUC Campus, Ghaziabad performed various cultural activities for their teachers. The program was concluded with the felicitation of the faculty members and cake cutting in the atrium of IMSUC Campus. MOC Atin Singh and Gunjan Kamal gave the Vote of Thanks to IMS Executive Council Members (CA (Dr.) Rakesh Chharia and Mr Vidur Chharia) Director IMSUC, HODs, faculty members, IT & EWL team  for their constant support and encouragement.

 

The Day 2 of the Program included “Screening of the Educational Film- Dasvi” in the auditorium of IMSUC Campus from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the faculty members from all the departments. Dasvi is a story of a corrupt politician who discovers the power of education when trapped in jail and decides to earn his 10th grade diploma.

At the Day 3 of the program, a Panel Discussion was conducted on “National Education Policy, 2020” among all the Heads of the departments in the auditorium of IMSUC Campus which was attended by all the faculty members. The Panel discussion was moderated by Prof. Sandhya Sharma wherein she introduced the panelists and audience about the NEP,2020 as one of the biggest reforms ever in the education sector, followed by the questions asked from the panelists such as the opportunities that can arise from the implementation of the policy, its effect on employment if implemented, the challenges faced by educational institutions in its successful execution, etc. The overall programme was extremely educative and learning filled. At the end, the Panel discussion was concluded by Prof. Sandhya Sharma stating NEP’s relevance with an aim to provide good quality education to the students in an improved educational environment and uplifting the morale of the teachers.
