Event Name: Sulabh Visit Report

Date & Day:17th September, 2022, Saturday

The student representative of the IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus Entrepreneurship Cell undertook an outbound activity where they had to represent IMSUC’S E-cell by setting up a stall where the IMS students had to pitch their business idea in front of the guests and judges of the event and had to build networks with various colleges and their E-cells.

The event was organized by Sulabh International Organization on the occasion of the 72nd Birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi as Jal Shiksha-Swachhata-Seva Diwas.

The event was commenced by the anchor welcoming the chief guest Mr.  Ganga Prasad Chaurasia (Governor of Sikkim) and dignitaries, Padma Bhushan Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak (Founder of Sulabh Shauchalaya), his wife Mrs. Amola Pathak, Padma Shree Usha Chaumar (President of Sulabh International Social Service Organisation) and others.

There were mainly three highlights of the event: The Photo Exhibition (A Glimpse of Mr. Modi’s Life), Acts Of Impact (Stalls of Social Entrepreneurs), and The NukkadNaatak. The event was carried forward by Chief guest Mr. Chaurasia’s and other’s visit to the Photo Exhibition of PM Modi and later he visitedvarious stalls of the social entrepreneurs and listened  the Ideas of the Colleges of the University Of Delhi and Other colleges. After that Mr. Chaurasia addressed the crowd and listed a few of the successes India has under Mr. Modi’s leadership. He also stressed the government’s initiatives to strengthen India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem in order to transform the country from one that seeks employment to one that creates jobs and is self-sufficient.

The representatives of an international society of Social Entrepreneurs ‘ENACTUS’ represented different colleges in the competition, There were 9 colleges from Delhi University and IMS Ghaziabad competing in the competition of the “ACTS OF IMPACT.” People and judges visited various stalls and voted for the best pitched idea. The students of IMS Ghaziabad also visited all the stalls and communicated about the institute they belong to and the wonderful events that E-cell organizes every year at IMSUC.
Finally, the student representative of the Sulabh International Organization declared the results, which are as follows:

  • 2ndRunner-Up:Kirori Mal College (Customized cotton scarfs made by the underprivileged people and Pens with waste paper)
  • 1stRunner-Up:
  • Winner: Sri Venkateswara College(Kullahd Candles with Flower Fragrance and cotton reusable Sanitary Pads)

The winners were felicitated by Mementoes, Certificates and cash prizes.
