Value-Added Education Initiative - Writing and its impact on Career and Society: 9^th BNHAF Awards  

REPORT OF THE EVENT

Summary of the Event:

IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organized “Value-Added Education Initiative - Writing and its impact on Career and Society: 9th BNHAF” on Wednesday 18^th January 2023 in the Auditorium. The purpose for organizing this award ceremony was to motivate the faculty and students through success stories and recognize talents from various fields. Moreover the guests aimed to encourage the students to hone their writing skills.

The students started assembling in the auditorium at 2:00 PM onwards under the vigilance of faculty members. After the Saraswati Floral tribute offered by the guests, Dr. Sandhya Sharma started the session by introducing IMSUC, welcoming and introducing the guests. Dr. Arun Kumar Singh (Director, IMSUC) felicitated Mr. Amit R. Agrawal and Ms. Shweta Sharma by giving a sapling as a token of gratitude. Dr. Gagan Varshney (HOD, School of Computer Science) felicitated Ms. Rekha Vohra.

A screening of montage was done before the gathering. Then Director Sir addressed everyone about the importance of reading regularly.  First, our honorable Chief Guest Ms. Shweta Sharma (Gold Medalist for India at IWAS World Games 2022) was invited to speak to the students about her success journey and the role of writing in it.  After this, the cover of Mr. Amit R Agrawal’s second book “The Making of Virgin Mira” was unveiled by Ms. Shweta Sharma, Mr. Amit R. Agrawal and Ms. Rekha Vohra.

Ms. Rekha Vohra was introduced after which she addressed the gathering. She shared her journey of becoming proficient in English by writing. Thereafter, Mr. Amit R Agarwal was introduced and he discussed about the “Talent Ka Maha Utsav” which will be launched at Cannes Film Festivals in March’23. This is an initiative to provide a platform to young people and recognize their talent. Then he shared his story of writing the book and how taking small steps in writing can go a long way.

Among various categories of awards (Best content writer, Photojournalist, Upcoming model, Theater artist, Best hospitality, Best faculty, Best student) Prof. Pawan Kumar was honored as the best faculty and Mr. Anurag Lala as best student of IMSUC.

This event was organized under the supervision of the Director, Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, and Head of the School of Management, Dr. Pooja Rastogi and Prof. Indira Priyadarsani Pradhan, Prof Rajnish Kumar Mishra; and attended by the MIB, Bioscience, Computer Science students of IMSUC.

After an insightful session Dr. Sandhya Sharma offered vote of thanks to all guests from IMSUC for sharing their valuable time and presence. She thanked all HOD, faculty, backend support team.
