Industrial Visit to Jubilant Life Sciences, Gajraula was organized for the students of School of Biosciences, IMS University Courses Campus on 8th March 2018. The visit was accompanied by Dr. Abha Vashistha and Mrs. Anjula Chaudhary.
Students were received by company personals; the visit begins with the brief presentation on the profile of the company. Jubilant Life Sciences is an integral global pharmaceutical and life sciences industry engaged in manufacturing of fine ingredients of crop science ingredients, advance intermediates and certain nutritional products. Students learnt about the various steps involved in the collection of raw materials, polymerisataion, condensation, vaporization and packaging of products. There are about five procedures which are followed by the quality control executives for checking quality of product Venyl Acetae Polymer (VAM).
It is considered as a raw material for production of chewing gum. Students visited plant where they find the working procedure of polymerization reactor unit and reactor control unit. Apart from polymer, Jubilant Life Sciences also manufactures several other products like fertilizers, medicines, nutritional products etc. Beyond the academics, this industrial visit has provided a practical perspective to the students; it helped to combine the theoretical knowledge with the industrial exposure.
It offered an opportunity to learn through interaction, working methods and employment practices of the industry. All the students expressed their thanks to the officials for the opportunity given. This trip was highly useful for the students in terms of practical knowledge and to find the placement opportunities in such industries.
