A three day FDP was organized by Management Department of IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus from January 17-19, 2019. The FDP aimed to acquaint the participants with Research Methodology and some of the sophisticated techniques of data analysis with the help of SPSS. The effort was made to produce best quality research which significantly contributes to the intellectual capital in the field of academics. The vigorous sessions spread over three days covered topics ranging from Introduction to Research, Research Design, Data collection, sample design, writing a research proposal descriptive statistics to introduction to SPSS, Plotting of charts, Correlation and Regression, Testing of Hypothesis-I, ANOVA, Factor Analysis Exploratory Factor Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis in SPSS and Structural Equation Modeling. The participant number was restricted to 20 by the organisers to get effective learning outcome but actual nomination reached to 23 when FDP started.

The Day 1 started with the session of Dr Sapna Rakesh, Director, IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus highlighting the need of quality research today in the competitive world and how it contributes towards the development of not only the faculty member but also of the student. Prof Aniruddha Ghosh, Assistant Professor at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus took up the topics of Research Design, Hypothesis Testing, Correlation and Regression during the technical sessions on Day 1 and Day 2. Both internal and external participants showed keen interest in learning the new techniques of research and their software based application throughout the session.

Dr H.K Dangi, Associate Professor, Delhi School of Economics took up the technical session on Day 3 and discussed the concept of Structure Equation Modeling and exposed the participants to its various applications. He also helped participants in analyzing the problems which are related to their specific area of research.

The participants were awarded certificate of participation in the valedictory session on Day 3, followed by Vote of Thanks by the programme coordinators Dr Geeti Sharma (Chairperson-BBA) and Dr Nidhi Srivastava.
