The Department of Management Studies of IMS Ghaziabad - University Courses Campus organized a Workshop on Insurance & Risk Management on 6th February 2019. The objective of this workshop was to give a real exposure to students about various insurance products available in the market, their motives and use in practical life. The Resource Person for this workshop was Dr. Pradeep Bhardwaj (Asst. Professor in the area of Banking & Finance), he discussed the concept of insurance and managing risk, including key elements like types of insurance plan, insurance planning process and tax benefits related to insurance with various practical examples.

The next session began with question & answer, where various queries of students were handled by the resource person. The latter half of workshop was based on student presentations where they were divided into the groups of six and each group was given different case related to real life situation and asked to suggest a financial solution considering various investment tools and insurance protection. Total 37 students actively participated in the workshop and learned about the importance of insurance (life and non-life) in Financial Planning.
