Industrial visit at "Securities Exchange Board of India"

On 19th & 20th February, 2019; 28 students of two batches from BBA-II semester of IMS University Courses campus visited Securities Exchange Board of India, Sansad Marg, New Delhi accompanied by two faculty members. The host of the day from SEBI's end was Ms. Gurvinder Singh and Ms. Rekha. Ms. Rekha incepted the BBA sophomores and started to infiltrate their minds with the history of capital markets in India. The emergence of Bombay Stock Exchange, the emergence of SEBI, the introduction of National Stock Exchange. She also pitched students with a plethora of knowledge regarding the various know-how of personal investing. She also gave useful tips to save money and visualized student to procrastinate about recouping a future corpus. The students got enlightened by getting updated about various investment avenues like Mutual Funds - Equity oriented, Hybrid, Debt, Money Market & Liquid Funds; to add on students got enriched through the valuable knowledge of having a term plan and its benefits; to iterate further students got updated on selecting between equity shares and mutual funds; to highlight more schemes like PPF, NPS and Fixed Income sources were also discussed. The knowledge disseminated was indispensable which would work in every sphere for the students. The students heartily conveyed their sincere regards to the management, the faculty members and the CRC team of IMS University Courses Campus for organizing such a knowledge enrichment industrial visit to SEBI. The students also demanded a special session on Commodities Market.
