In continuation of industry engagement initiatives, School of Information technology at IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organized an industrial visit to MCN Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for the students of BCA first year on 27th March 2019.. Mr. Stephen Simon, a Microsoft Innovative Educator and Master Trainer at Microsoft, India, took a session focusing on latest technologies, including Internet of things. He started the session with daily life examples of IoT and then connects it with technology. The students tried to understand the technology with great enthusiasm and raised many query to which were well answered by Mr. Sthephen by setting appropriate examples.

Apart from it, students got an idea about the virtual reality and augmented reality concepts. Mr. Stephen very well described the concepts and also give a live demonstration to the students using Hololens. The students were thrilled when they used Hololens as they were enjoying the augmented reality and creating their own virtual world. Students also got a brief knowledge of how an IT project starts i.e Software Development life cycle. Industrial visits are very important for every technical student as it provides an idea to the students about the current industry requirements. Students enjoyed a lot and their curiosities and questions related to current trends and technologies were well answered by the professionals.
