Workshop on "Finance for Non-Finance"

IMS UC Campus conducted 20 Hour Workshop on "Finance for Non Finance" for MIB (2018-20) 1st Year students during Academic year 2018-19.

Objective of Program were:
To enable the participants to appraise about various domain areas of finance.
To understand the behaviour of costs and their applications for decision-making.
To understand the role of financial management in such areas as planning, control and long term decision making.
To familiarize with latest financial concepts becoming part of general management approach.

Learning Outcome:
Understand financial statements and their key elements.
Feel more confident when talking to colleagues from the finance department
Be able to comfortably reach out for the financial statements of your own company, as well as those of your counterparties and competitors to find the required information
Identify signals pointing to deterioration in financial condition.
Understand the potential of investment projects.
Be able to confidently take part in discussions on current financial and economic issues
Know and explain the advantages of budgeting.
Analyze reasons for variance between actual and budgeted results
Understand the cost of business operations and its management.

It was indeed a great leaning experience and Workshop ended with Certificate Distribution ceremony.
