An industrial visit was conducted on 3rd August, 2019 to Moon Beverages which is one of the oldest and biggest franchisee owned bottling plant for Coca-Cola. 44 students of MIB 2019-21 visited the plant with 4 faculty members to experience the actual practical working of a bottling plant. The students were accompanied by Prof. Kapil Mohan Garg, Prof. Abhinav Kataria, Dr. Nidhi Srivastava and Prof. Komal Kapoor.

The plant is located in Sahibabad Industrial Area and was established in 1987. Since then it has been serving the Delhi-NCR market with more than 65,000 cases production capacity across the various brands. This initiative was taken by the Institute of Management Studies University Courses Campus, Ghaziabad for the new students to help them develop an understanding of how organizations work.

The students were briefed by Ms. Priyanka Dutta, Manager Environment Management Systems about the process of bottling plant, important departments, components that go into the production process along with the precautions to be taken on the shop floor. After taking all the precautionary measures, students took a round of the bottling plant starting from the water treatment plant, to developing of the PET bottles, washing of Reusable Glass Bottles, creation of the syrup from the concentrate and finally packing of the bottles. It was a very interesting and stimulating experience for the students as they had many questions to ask the plant officer.

Towards the end, a token of gratitude was presented to the Manager-Quality in the form of a Memento. Students are looking forward to having more such visits in the coming future.
