Journalism and Mass Communication Club (J&MC) at IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organized its opening ceremony on 1st October 2019. After the students' council elections, Aiswarya Samant, Prashant Kumar, and Gunjan Sharma were elected as the President, Vice President and Secretary respectively. The club comes up with a great objective of helping students having a journalistic approach towards everything. In this era of high social media usage, J&MC club is giving a flow for use of a pen and paper by calling it the greatest weapon of all time. The opening ceremony was graced with the presence of Dr. Sapna Rakesh (Director, IMS Ghaziabad) who nourished students with her words. Dr. Geeti Sharma (HOD, BBA) blessed the club and wished to see great activities coming. Assistant Professor Girish Kumar (HOD, BJMC) urged the students to have enthusiasm throughout the year. The presence of faculty members and their good wishes made the event vibrant. The club has no direction without the vision shared by the club head RJ Khursheed (Asst.Professor). He explained the aims and objectives of the club for the year and also promised to provide an approach for other departments to develop an inclination towards journalistic writings. The club also organized the curtain-raiser for the launch of the logo of their club. The logo itself has a fountain pen which gives significant signals to the youth. It was a great opening event which was enjoyed by all.
