School of Biosciences, Institute of Management Studies, University Courses Campus organized 'Genesis 2019' on 11th October 2019. It is an Inter-Institutional Bio-sciences fest and an ideal scientific platform for young and aspiring scientists and budding researchers from various reputed schools and colleges of Delhi-NCR to share, collaborate and reprise their innovate insights.

The event was wholeheartedly inaugurated by chief guest Prof. Gursharn Singh Randhawa, Member, Board of Management FRI University, Dehradun and Retired Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, Guest of honor Dr. S.K. Garg, former Vice-Chancellor, first State Veterinary University, Mathura. The program was incepted and presided over by Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus. The participants were invigorated and addressed by the respected dignitaries and were encouraged towards scientific aspects and learning.

Genesis dealt with a plethora of events specially augmented for the creative and comprehensive minds, witnessing the active and vibrant participation of more than 400 students from 40 different schools and colleges including Delhi NCR and Western UP. The events that came in the vault of Genesis were E-Canva, Blog-IT, Sci-toon, Knockdown, Sci-quest and Bio-Splash. "Winning is not everything but active participation is a way out of the labyrinth." Winners of each category were prized and honored with trophies and merit certificates by Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director, IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus and Dr. Abha Vashistha, Chairperson, School of Biosciences. Best School Participation and Outstanding Performer Award was received by DPSG, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad and KL International Award respectively.

Genesis rendered young aspirants into valuable interaction with researchers and scientists and connected them with this stream in an astonishing, accessible and inspirational manner. It was a huge success, developing minds to applied sciences in an extremely inspirational manner.
