Workshop on 'STATISTIC USING EXCEL'

The Session was divided into three lectures. Which all were taken by Professor Subhro Sen Gupta, who is the Assistant Professor of Institute of Management Studies. According to the Professor Subhro Sen Gupta, Statistics is the discipline that concerns the collection, organization, displaying, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data. In applying statistics to a scientific, industrial, or social problem, it is conventional to begin with a statistical population or a statistical model to be studied. This workshop was specially organized for MIB students for the extra knowledge of statistic. In the workshop we learned to do Statistic questions on Excel. In the first lecture we were covered some topics (i.e. Mean, Mode, Median). In the second lecture we were covered some other topics (i.e. Regression, correlation). In the third lecture we were covered some other topics (i.e. T-value, Standard Error, Multiple Regression, P-value and coefficient of Determination). These topics are really helpful for us and specially in the future also. We want to thanks Subhro Sir for providing us such a good workshop. We would like workshop to be provided for our bright future too.

Learning Outcome:
The field of statistics is the science of learning from data. Statistical knowledge helps you use the proper methods to collect the data, employ the correct analyses, and effectively present the results. Statistics is a crucial process behind how we make discoveries in science, make decisions based on data, and make predictions. Statistics allows you to understand a subject much more deeply. This session is really helpful to all of us specially for our future.
