IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organised a Movie Review Session on the latest release movie -ARTICLE 15 for undergraduate students on February 7,2020 to give tribute to Sant Ravidas who gave the message of peace, harmony and fraternity. Guru Ravidas is known for spreading harmony and brotherhood for a positive change in the society. His preaches are based on justice, equality and service that will continue to inspire people in every age.Inspired by his preaches this event is organised to make the youngsters understand the essence of equality. The event was initiated by Prof.Aastha Sawhney where she highlighted the meaning of Article 15. The Constitution of India elaborates that no Indian citizen can be discriminated against on basis of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth. It states that no citizen shall be denied access to shops, public restaurants, hotels and palaces of public entertainment. The Article also states that it cannot be used as an argument to make special provisions for women, children or any other backward classes.The movie is a take on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination of Indians on basis of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. At the end of the session students also raise queries and clear their doubts on the same. The session ended with great zeal and enthusiasm amongst the students and on a gratitude note by Dr.Geeti Sharma, Chairperson BBA program for organising this wonderful session Learning Outcome: The session was organise to remember the great Sant Ravidas and to enhance the students learning on his preaches and to make them understand the importance and meaning of Right to equality.
