CDC organized 'Career Enrichment Talk' on the topic - 'Career Based on Interests' on 27 February 2020. The Talk acted as a catalyst to help the students further clarify and evaluate their current positions regarding career choices.
The Talk accentuated on information for having better apprehensions associated with higher education and placements profile. Renowned Career Counsellors namely Mr. Ritesh Jain, Dr. Pranavi Luthra and Ms. Pooja Bhatia shared their insights about various aspects of career planning. They emphasized on learning, unlearning and relearning to manage the squeeze and constant change in today's scenario. They gave their expert advice in the areas of management & IT courses, short term online courses, entrance examinations and also mentioned the one should refrain from copying others and should focus on analyzing self and then take the step which is suitable in terms of passion, interest, skills, aptitude and knowledge. Students also got to know that first preference should be given to the profile and course rather than the brand name. Through various real life examples students were able to correlate their query and figured out the solution after in depth analysis. Counsellors shared diverse range of courses available for upgrading skills in various areas of interests.
Dr. Sapna Rakesh, Director- IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus appreciated the modus operandi and emphasized on the relevance of such talks for updating students about various streams. Mr. Ritesh Jain congratulated all the members associated with IMS, for the initiation of specializations, career counselling, trainings, clubs and value added modules. All the counsellors appreciated the course curriculum of Masters of International Business at IMS Ghaziabad, University Courses Campus and highly recommended this for aspirants who are keen to make global careers.
Career Enrichment Talk ended with a vote of thanks by Chairperson CDC- Ms. Priyanka Sadhna wherein she thanked the director, career counsellors, faculty, students, Career Pathway Club members, EWL members, IT team and entire team of IMS and congratulated all, for successful conduction of the talk. CDC faculty members- Ms. Sapna Kumar and Ms. Raunak Bhardwaj executed the programmed effectively. Students appreciated the programme and showed their eagerness to participate in the next series of Career Enrichment Talk.
