C# is a general-purpose, modern and object-oriented programming language pronounced as “C sharp”. .Net applications are multi-platform applications and framework can be used from languages like C++, C#, Visual Basic, COBOL etc. It is designed in a manner so that other languages can use it.C#is one of the most popular programming languages primarily used to create user applications and therefore there is huge demand in the industry for .Net Professionals.Keeping this in view, BCA department of IMS, Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organized Five days online workshop on “.NET Framework using C#” from 11th May to 15th May 2020 for all the interested students of Institute and outside the institute. The aim of this workshop was to introduce the participants to introduce the basic concept of .NET framework and basic programming concept of C# (Both Console as well as Form based Programming) and educate them about its versatility in database connectivity and how it is helpful in database connectivity. The workshop was conducted by Prof. Neeru Saxena, Assistant Professor-IT. In this workshop, the students got an idea what is .NET Framework and developing applications by using Console Programming and Form based Programming. Various hands-on excercises were provided to students through which they can able to apply C# programming codes for developing various applications. It was very informative and a great learning experience for students. All the students really appreciated the contents that were discussed, they realized that interactions likes these can help them improve their learning.

Learning Outcome:
After completion of the workshop students were able to:

1. Understand the fundamental of .NET Frameworkand the reasons for gaining popularity.
2. Write Console Programs (use of loop, conditions, Array [1-D][2-D], jagged array).
3. Write Form based Programs using control tools and write the forms based Programming (use of Text Box, Label, Check boxes ,Combo box etc.).
4. Data base connectivity , Storing and retrieving data from databases
5. Use C# for specific tasks effectively and have the confidence to explore it further.
