On August 24, 2024, the Department of Management at IMS Ghaziabad University Courses Campus organized a re-orientation program, Disha, for the MIB Batch (2023-2025). The event was held at the Mini Auditorium on the university campus.The day began at 10:15 AM with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the formal welcoming, introduction, and felicitation of the guest of honor, Mr. Subhankar Ghose, an HR leader. Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Director of IMS Ghaziabad, delivered the welcome address, setting a positive tone for the day.During his guest address, Mr. Subhankar Ghose shared valuable HR insights, emphasizing adaptability, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking. He discussed the challenges HR professionals face, such as talent management and organizational change, and highlighted emerging trends like the integration of technology in HR and a focus on employee well-being. Drawing from his experience, Mr. Ghose encouraged students to take charge of their professional growth, stay updated on industry trends, and build strong networks. His talk left students inspired and more prepared for their future careers, emphasizing continuous learning and leadership development. Following his address, Prof. Mayank Pandey, the Program Leader for the MIB course, shared his thoughts on the re-orientation. After a brief break, Dr. Puja Prasad and Prof. Subhro Sen gupto led a knowledge test called "The Last Lap," which encouraged students to reflect on their learnings so far. Dr. Deepa Goel emphasized the importance of early career planning, guiding students on how to align their academic pursuits with their professional aspirations. Mr. Arnab Ghosh further enriched the session by detailing the various industry connections and internship opportunities facilitated by the Corporate Relations Cell, which are instrumental in enhancing students' employability and long-term career success.
The event concluded at 3:00 PM, marking the completion of a fruitful day of learning, re-orientation, and networking for the MIB batch.
