Summary of the event: 

The Department of Management at IMS Ghaziabad (University Courses Campus) organized a Peer Enrichment Session on “Research Applications of Multi Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) Approaches” in association with the Research Cell on 26th May, 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Chhavi Luthra, faculty in the area of Marketing, to familiarize faculty members with advanced research methodologies applicable across management disciplines.

The session focused on Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) and MICMAC analysis, highlighting their conceptual foundations, research applications, and interdisciplinary relevance in areas such as Marketing, HRM, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Strategy. The resource person also demonstrated the use of ISM software application through a practical example and conducted a short hands-on activity to enhance participants’ understanding of variable interrelationships and model development.

Research papers employing ISM and MICMAC approaches were discussed to establish their growing academic relevance and evolving application in contemporary research. The session enabled faculty members from different domains to explore the usefulness of MCDA approaches for conducting structured and impactful research.
