Summary of the Event:
School of Biosciences, in association with IMS Greens Cell Organized a Poster Presentation on 2nd December 2021 on the occasion of ?National Pollution Control Day?, where in the students across all the courses were invited to submit Poster on the topic related to ?Healing the Ozone Together. Making a green move, students of School of Biosciences performed a mime act to create awareness on the urgent need to save the OZONE. This year?s theme focuses on the importance of ozone layer, ozone depleting substances, effects of ozone layer depletion (human, animal and plant health) including the ways to prevent ozone layer. The competition received entries from the students of different programs. Sneha Das, B.Sc. (H) MB I year, Jasmin Atwal, MIB I year and Bhupendra Sahu, B.Sc. (H) BT II year hold I, II and III winning positions respectively. Consolation prizes were received by Anshul Chourasia B.Sc. (H) MB I year, B.Sc. (H) MB II year and Sonam Jha BCA First year.
Learning Outcome: The idea behind organizing this exciting event was to create social and environmental awareness among students. The event created the awareness among the students about the global trend towards the ozone depletion and enlightens how citizens can help to reduce ozone depletion.
